Chocolate Fondue for Two Recipe

Not only is chocolate fondue absolutely delicious, but it’s also high up on the romance scale. It’s sophisticated, yet messy which is half the fun! Plus, this easy fondue recipe won’t keep you hours in the kitchen, giving you more quality time with your partner.

What you’ll need:

  • Fondue set, or just a sauce pan and some skewers for dipping

  • 5 oz chopped dark chocolate (the higher quality chocolate, the better the fondue!)

  • 3.5 oz of chopped milk chocolate

  • 1 ¼ cup cream

  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • ⅛ tsp sea salt

  1. Pour the cream in saucepan and heat over medium-heat until hot. This will take roughly 2 minutes.

  2. Add the chopped dark and milk chocolate, the vanilla extract and sea salt. Stir until it melts and is smooth in texture.

  3. If you have a chocolate fondue pot or melting pot, transfer it. Make sure your fondue pot is warm! If you do not have a fondue pot, you can eat out of your saucepan; however, the chocolate fondue will lose its consistency as it cools.

  4. Now, pick your fondue dippers! Strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, pound cake, doughnuts, kiwi and pretzels are all great dippers. Get creative and choose whatever you and your partner like. Just don’t forget to cut them into bite size pieces before serving!
